About the Kala Dry Eye Study
Are your eyes dry or irritated? Do you sometimes find it hard to focus your eyes when you have been reading or using the computer for a long time? This study evaluated the safety and effectiveness of an investigational eye drop for the signs and symptoms described above.

Eligibility
Who Was This Study For?
You may have been eligible to participate if:
- You were 18 years of age or older
- You were in good health
- You were willing to refrain from using eye drops during the dosing period
- You were willing to refrain from using contact lenses during the dosing period
- You met other requirements to participate in the study
Participation
What Did Participation Involve?
- Four (4) scheduled study visits over approximately four (4) weeks at the Restivo Laser Vision facility
- Application of the investigational eye drop on a prescribed schedule
- Follow-up ophthalmic exams to assess safety and efficacy
- Symptom questionnaires and comfort ratings
- Slit-lamp examination and tear film assessments at each visit
- Compensation may have been available for time and travel
